Select AMC theaters will be showing Sam Raimi's 1981 classic THE EVIL DEAD on April 24th, 2026 as part of AMC's Thrills & Chills: Relive The Classics screening events. As of the posting of this, there is no word on if this will be the original version or the "George Lucas" remaster, what aspect ratio it will be in, or any of that kind of stuff, but I suspect we'll hear more about it as we get closer to the date.

Last time I waited until tickets at my local theater went on sale instead of through another party, and they immediatly sold out... but 7 dollars is a bargain for a chance to see any movie let alone The Evil Dead (ID required) on April 24th.

In the new interview with Bruce I posted to the Ernie & Emma forum, Bruce also mentions that The Evil Dead is what it is. That they didn't change it like George Lucas did Star Wars. Made me kinda chuckle considering all the changes and digital edits in the remastered version.
