Bruce Campbell making new movie... Evil Dead related??

[Its_Auto]

Just a heads up guys, Bruce Campbell just apologised on Twitter that he wont be attending an upcoming convention due to "making a new movie." Now since he also just tweeted last week that he is back in New Zealand to film AvED season 2 now, would it be a *total* stretch of the imagination that with the Renaissance Pictures crew already in one place together, and this unannounced movie filming at the same time as AvED2, could this be an Evil Dead 4/ Army of Darkness 2 covert operation?? (we can dream, right?)

One can dream, but I would think they would have already spilled the beans if they were working on such a project. I hope I didn't destroy yours just now.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that this is going to be some sort of solo project he'll be filming elsewhere after AvED wraps.

Aside from the question of how profitable the show actually is, it's entirely possible that they could film a TV movie or something like that but unless Sam's been spending the past year writing a full script they'd have nothing to use. I'm pretty sure the original sequel script was what got recycled into the AvED pilot. The time constraints and the fact that it's entirely possible that season 3 could happen probably make it all unlikely.
