Hey everyone. I know that I've seen some of you guys sport your merchandise, props and costumes, notably the chainsaw. Anyone dressing up or digging up old costumes this year as their favorite hero from the beloved franchise?

Being a woman, I've decided to use it to my advantage (instead of dressing up as gender bent Ash, which I've already seen a lot this year) to dress up as a character that I've only ever found one other person dress up as online. I hope that you guys like it!

Nice costume! Very well done. I was Finn from Adventure Time this year. I haven't dressed up since high school!

Finn is such a popular costume that it's insane. I have never watched an episode of Adventure Time in my life. Just don't have television and barely watch any. Hope that you had fun with it! I made sure to stay in character myself which was super fun. I'm glad that you guys like it.

Hey Elise .. :)

When you said you stayed in character did you also do the awesome creepy giggle and rhyme? ..
Did your full white lenses come from 9mm f/x ?

There's a zombie walk advertised in my home town for tommorow. I want to go but as far as I can tell it's high school kids doing it, I've no problem with that but there's no other details except a time and place to meet (in a field on the coast line) and I'm 39, so would feel (and probably look) a bit awkward! ... I'll go and check it out from a distance and if there's more adults there I'll check it out .. meet up times 3pm (if you want make-up), registering time is 4pm and the walk starts (presuming they've all got their shit together) 4:30pm ...

I did the creepy giggle the whole time, did the rhyme for a video and only used a tiny snippet of it. The lenses are made in the UK and are called "White mesh". It's the closest that I can get to the films without being 100% blind. It does significantly impair my vision though. I purchased them from a store in Chinatown.

Did you end up going to the zombie walk?

Those white mesh lenses look pretty good. The one's I've got aren't so cool and have little holes for the pupils so aren't entirely white.

The zombie walk was cancelled due to bad weather. I did find out who the organiser was though (he organises the kid's part of our yearly carnival) and am definately planning on getting involved if it's on again next year. I've already got a few plaster tray molds of generic zombie appliance casts anyway so hopefully can volunteer in the make-up tent ala Tom Savini style and stick latex over as many people as possible, a few friends are also talking about us forming a crew for the event ;D. Also, all monies raised through the various festivals in my town go to charities including the RNLI and Help for Heroes. And I love zombies, so it's a win/win/win situation. On a side note, when planning to use silicon rubber with a shelf of 6 months that you were given 25 years ago ... dont. That's one face mold I'm going to have to throw out now  :(

The walk was planned to start here on the pier:
