I'm hoping someone here can help me out. Last year, November 2015, I purchased an original one sheet poster of the Evil Dead from eBay. The seller's description was that he had got it when it was released while in college, where it hung on his wall, until he finished college, was rolled up into a tube, where it remained until he sold it. I'm no expert with these type of posters. It has only 4 small thumb tack holes on the corners etc, and some light dirt on the rear of the poster, no fold lines etc. (Found the original advert on worth point http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/movie-poster-original-evil-dead-sam-1791088922)
The seller was http://www.ebay.com/usr/bmovienet . Good feedback, so I didn't question it. I paid 65 dollars for it. Anyway, I've noticed that the price of these original one sheets has sky rocketed in price over the last few months…. (Ash vs. Evil Dead… Stranger Things.. who knows). I have no intention of selling mine, but it has made me question whether it was in fact an original. The user's feedback is very good etc. However, some of the posters I have seen for sale, have a small little mark in the bottom middle, to the immediate right of whatever is wrote in the centre, like a centre crosshairs… mine below doesn't seem to have it.
Anyone have any input into this? I'd be delighted to hear peoples' opinions. I love the poster, so it doesn't bother me what it turns out to be, as I had bought it to put it into a shadow box display with a replica shotgun, and a book of the dead I had made.
