I did when i was 10 going on 11 3 times with my dad then my mom then one of my old neighbor's who was a friend of my family.

I wish I could say I did! My big goal is to actually see the movie on the big screen eventually/somehow.

Not when it came out, but I've seen a marathon of the whole trilogy at Quentin tarantino's new Beverly theatre and then again at a local theatre on its own. I also went to the evil dead/evil dead 2 screenings at beyond feat earlier this month and that was spectacular.

I didn't see Army Of Darkness in theatres but when it was on Guild Home Video rental release, I rented it. Then I got a mate to steal the case for it because video shops would always give you a plain black case for anything you rented so you wouldn't steal a film. Then, I told them I'd lost the cassette but had already given them a fake address .. which is how I now have my original ex rental cassette in original case .. morally wrong? yes, but ................. we didn't have ebay back then!.

Not me (sadly) but I do remember the theatrical run.

A local comic shop put a small version of the AoD poster in my bag of comics, and so I asked the clerk about it as I immediately recognized Ash and his chainsaw from ED2. The title was confusing, but the guy explained that is was basically another Evil Dead movie and they were promoting it.

The theatrical run was so short where I live that I missed it completely, but I caught it when it came to the cable movie channel in Canada about a year later. They played it often so I became pretty familiar with it. I even built my own gauntlet out of an old winter glove, foil, electrical tape, and other odds and ends.

Then I kind of forgot about the films until the late 90s when my love for Evil Dead resurfaced, and it's been non-stop ever since  :D

I saw Army of Darkness during its theatrical release. My brother was going to see it and my mom forced my company on him, as moms will sometimes do, because she was leaving for work and I couldn't be left home alone at that point, I was only seven at that time. Begrudgingly my brother let me tag along. We were running late, we'd already missed the previews, and a chunk of the beginning. I remember sitting down during the Pit sequence. My first thought of AoD was "Why is this man beating up this woman?" My brother quickly explained why this was so just in time to see Ash get his chainsaw. That sequence was the most definitively cool thing my seven year old eyes had ever seen and I was on the edge of my seat until it was over.

Army of Darkness opened my eyes not only to the Evil dead films but to the horror genre and I've been in love ever since. And I've got two things to thank for that, pal: my mom and blind luck.

I never saw it in theaters when it first was released but I did end up seeing it in theaters this past October at a theater where I live.

I saw it when it first came out in theaters. Had a great time. I was already a big fan of the first two films at the time.
Oh, also, this is my first post here. Hello!
