Region Two/Three release is super likely; they'll definitely release this in PAL if only to stoke up interest from the British AvED collectors who love the franchise.

We know for sure we have commentary tracks; my guess is that we'll also have those behind the scenes docs that we had before strung together.  Perhaps some featurettes on the Hollywood premier?

I'll keep an eye out for store exclusives (usually Best Buy for these kinds of things, though sometimes Target does them).

Looks like Best Buy is getting an exclusive metal packaging:

Sure beats the hell out of the yellow background. I was trying to zoom in on the listed features on one of the cd's in the picture, but couldn't make anything out. Oddly I have never bought a metal case for a dvd/blu-ray before, and wonder what extras it will have because it would need some to justify the price jump.

Often they don't have extras if they're anything like the Zavvi steelbooks we get in the UK.

That is lovely though.

Not surprised that Best Buy ended up with the steelbook; they've been making tons of money off of releasing those lately.

They usually toss an exclusive extra on those releases; in the case of the Evil Dead remake they actually ended up with the best featurette as one (The SFX exclusive).

I zoomed in too, and it looks like one of the extras is "The Book of Ash".

It's actually a Metalpak. There's actually three different companies that make these. Steelbook, Metalpak, and Iron Packs.

I didn't know that! I just figured that it was a description of the case type, but I guess it makes sense that companies (zavvi, BestBuy, HMV, whoever) would commission them for exclusives.

News to me, too!  I'm guessing steelbooks are metal cases, MetalPack is boxlike and Ironpacks are more complex?

The easiest way to tell the difference between the three is the spine. A quick look on Google can clear that up.

I always kind of figured they would go with that for the cover of the dvd/Blu Ray, and I finally pre-ordered my copy yesterday... so whatever we get I'm looking forward to it. I'm just surprised at the lack of info regarding any extras. I will likely get the metal pack too at some point at Best Buy if it has any special bonus material.

Man, the regular DVD users are getting the best package this time.

Oh. I thought it was a slip case! I didn't notice the DVD label on the spine of the left packaging.

So did I for a sec!

I hope so; IDK if Anchor Bay does that, I know Synapse and Shout Factory do!
