It's a fan made game of course! Nothing official. It's a mod of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre official game. You can play it via emulator here: http://www.vizzed.com/play/evil-dead-ii-dead-by-dawn-v20-a2600-online-atari-2600-14294-game

There's an Army of Darkness one too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alUuSYWOPEE

Because it's a homebrew game I assume more recently. These are people who take older games and use them to make a new one and sometimes people make original games without the use of older games.

Thanks Elise ..
The ebay seller of this prop test page from ED2 states it's pictured in the prop section of this site  ... it currently isn't. I wonder if it's legit? :

This '83 U.S. video release Evil Dead poster is arguably rarer than the more expensive theatrical ones .. will be interesting to see how much this goes for:

This is from www.etsy.com, is in permanent marker art (or so he claims) but I envy the seller's skills:

I admit that Rick Melton is insanely talented and I really would love to own a print of his first Evil Dead art venture, but this one has too much gratuitous implied tree rape with full nudity for me to like it. I actually dislike that one.

I wasn't a fan of that bit of the poster for the same reasons Elise .... I liked the rest of it, shame the pointless nude woman's there though & it brings down the rest of the art.

edit: have removed the link to it after consideration.

There seems to be a cluster of vintage Australian ED stuff (especialy posters) on ebay at the moment for some reason. I lost out on winning a mint '88 video store Australian poster a week or so ago. Now here's a completely different design up for auction:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-EVIL-DEAD-2-Australian-HOYTS-movie-poster-Sam-Raimi-BRUCE-CAMPBELL-HORROR-/221160462345?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item337e30d809

'87 french congrats letter for Evil Dead 2:

This is rarer than you'd think, the original U.K. '87 rental VHS of Evil Dead 2 should come in a gold/plastic Palace Premiere embossed box for this to be complete:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Evil-Dead-2-II-Original-Ex-rental-VHS-big-box-1987-Palace-box-Not-DVD-/281031772749?pt=UK_DVD_Film_TV_Videos&hash=item416ecc8a4d

Ditto mate  :P (apart from the original red meat card part .. you bastard! lol .. but seenoevil sent me an indistiguishable signed replica so my pain is being kept at bay on that one .. for now!). I also used to have a spare empty gold Palace Premiere cassette case somewhere because that box wasn't exclusive just to their ED2 release, they also used it for their release of Dario Argento's 'Creepers' back in the day and so, I expect, also for other releases. I bought ED2 on its UK VHS rental release date for about £80 as I remember and when the Guild Home Video tape of Army of Darkness was released into video stores a few years later they wouldn't sell me one ......... so I rented the only copy of it, 'lost' it, paid the full price as a fine and a friend went in and stole the case off the shelf for me  ;D. Still have all three copies. I wasn't able to buy the Palace ED1 cassette from my local video store in '84, not for want of trying on my part but I was underage to be renting it, it was still considered banned and the owner was nervous anyway to be renting to me anyway and refused to sell it to me because I was a minor, despite me constantly nagging her.

A rarity I regret losing through time is a promo/coming soon flat sheet printed sleeve and box from Anchor Bay (that I blagged from a shop assistant at the time) used only for display purposes (remember seeing them in HMV?) for Tom Sullivan's sculpted BOTD DVD release. The store was full of 'em and I knew they'd just get thrown out when the real thing arrived. I wonder if any now still exist? ..

Wow would love to find some promo stuff like that, holding onto my Palace Pictures Promo Kit for Evil Dead 2 for now, plan on getting some High-res pictures taken, great item.

Found some promo video sleeves from Palace on ebay, including the Green Evil Dead 2 sleeve: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Promo-video-sleeves-for-Basket-Case-Creepers-Evil-Dead-2-The-Hills-Have-Eyes-/221158883074?pt=UK_DVD_Film_TV_Film_Memorabilia_LE&hash=item337e18bf02

Just noticed Swofty already listed this but cool none the less  ;D
