Fede Alvarez hinting at Evil Dead 2?

I wouldn't blame him to be honest. Literally everything he does everyone asks him about the Evil Dead sequel.

Which is kind of ridiculous, because Don't Breathe was a bigger/more profitable film even in the same genre.

Well sure, commercially. IMO Don’t Breathe was horrible and I know you’re opinion on his ED film, but it definitely had cult appeal and as we all know, it’s the cult and underground fans that attract the most hardcore and rabid fans.

So we’re at three months now since the show ended and things have gotten pretty quiet. It was looking quite hopeful for a bit there with ED news every day but here we are. Weird to think that quite possibly, it is truly all over, or perhaps they have a plan down right this moment. Time will tell. Meanwhile, I’m going to continue to hibernate until there is news

As you said, the show ended 3 months ago. This is a short laps of time. I don't expect nothing more than speculation and rumors for at least a good year...maybe two....

The next logical step should be a sequel to Fede Alvarez remake. There's more chance this happen than another Evil Dead movie with Bruce Campbell.

The other thing that may happens since Bruce is gone. A brand new take on the franchise.

I just think they need to let the beast sleep for a little while, and figure out how to make actually something worthy with The Evil Dead franchise.

The series was hell of a ride, but cutted too many corners to be actually good and memorable.

Well, my opinion differs on the show a bit in that I enjoyed it a lot, even though it was far from perfect, but I agree with every thing else. It strikes me a bit odd how OFTEN we are reminded we are reminded that Bruce is retired, like is he fucking with us? Which was my point a while back that Bruce is so tied to Ash, whether he likes it or not, that even being “retired” now he is just going to be interviewed and talk about being retired as Ash
